Australian Living History

Our Clydesdale School Education Team provides a link to those bygone days when the Clydesdale horse was a necessary part of day to day life.
Kooringal Clydesdales can help the children appreciate what it was like living in the 19th and early 20th century.

We commence our visit with a talk on the Clydesdale horse, where & when they arrived in Australia, & how they helped to develop our nation. Combined with this is a beautiful photographic display. This is followed by a fifteen minute video which demonstrates skills the Clydesdale were required to perform.

We then move out of the classroom to the school yard to meet our gentle giants, to enable the children to see first hand how the horses are harnessed, then driven demonstrating the equipment.

The Kooringal Education Team can travel throughout the state of Queensland. Our Clydesdales enjoy working amongst people and are presented to you in show condition. We are entirely flexible and willingly to work with the teachers to help make this both an educational and enjoyable visit for all participants.
